Yay!

I'll be booking the tickets soon! Only a month to go now...it's going way too fast. I've still got no internet at home so I'm trying to organise a time to be online at the same time as Jo, my flatmate. That way we can make sure we're buying the tickets for the same flight. I'm so glad I'll be flying with her because the thought of having to do the airport thing alone terrifies me- especially if we transfer in somewhere like Dubai!

It's my Dad's licensing tonight. My Mom's a bit stressed because the contractors have decided to come and do the windows today. I'm excited though, can't wait to see everyone! Sounds like a nice service too.
Better be off, told the library woman I was only checking my emails hehe.

Update

FNKYMNKY I'm not in HK yet! I've only got as far as Leicester. And still no home internet so no msn :( Apparently it could be up to 28 days before TalkTalk can transfer everything. So I'm still frequenting the library and Alan and Anne's computer. Thanks for the comment though :)

I have some good news about Hong Kong- my visa has been accepted and the school is sending it to me this week! It means I can now buy my tickets and then have a definite date of departure. Woo! Here's my amazon wish list for you to take a peek at!

I went to a BBQ on Sunday and met a few more people from Church. Everyone is really nice, and has been really welcoming. I went to another BBQ last night too, this time for the Youth Alpha group. I had a really nice time and got to just sit around and eat and relax. Not that I've really been doing much else lately, it would have been helpful if I could drive so I could actually go to places round here. I might take a trip in to Leicester on the bus soon, once I have some money to spend!

Oh- Alex if you're reading this good luck with your Honduras trip! I hope you have a great time!

The move went well. Nothing lost or broken. Most the boxes are unpacked now, and we're settling in well. Still no internet though, we're having to use Alan and Anne's computers or walk down to the library. I'll update more when I'm on my own computer!

Now I'm Obsessed

Argh!

That is a Banana Spider and apparently native to Hong Kong. LOOK HOW BIG IT IS! My skin is crawling! Eurgh eurgh eurgh. That is one spider that wouldn't fit under a glass. I really hope Jo, my flatmate, is good with bugs!

There's a whole thread about bugs on the GeoExpat site: http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/insect-t19818.html
